Alicia Lowery is a highly skilled nurse practitioner with over 8 years of experience in Oncology, Hematology with a special focus in Cancer Genetics. She is originally from the Tyler, Texas area and now resides in Bossier City, Louisiana. She is licensed to practice in both states. She graduated with honors from University of Texas at Tyler in 2011 with her Master’s degree in Nursing. Prior to that, she worked as a Registered Nurse for 10 years. She also graduated from the City of Hope Cancer Genetics Intensive Course in 2015. Alicia is well-regarded by both her colleagues and her patients for her compassionate, quality care. As the daughter of a 3 time cancer survivor, Alicia strives everyday to help control cancer while maintaining minimal suffering. She received the spotlight on excellence award in 2014 for her work in Cancer Genetics and speaks as a expert lecturer in benign hematologic conditions.

 She has worked on expert boards and has contributed to the development of new therapies to fight cancer through participation in clinical trials. Alicia is extremely passionate about not only fighting cancer but preventing it. She believes that prevention is a cure and believes understanding one’s risk for cancer is at the center of that.
